1st Annual Training - Cum - Workshop on Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard and Management (BASHM)!

The first Annual Bird Aircraft Strike hazard Management workshop is committed to disseminating awareness of Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) and it’s man-machine intervention among aviation community as well as, provide an appropriate platform and interface to foster exchange of ideas among, providing networking opportunities for and management guidelines to Airport and Airline Operators, Employees of National Aviation Regulators, ATC Officers, Aircraft and Engine manufacturers, Airline pilots, Air and ground flight safety personnel, Land-use planners, Military aviation experts, etc.


WBA Joint Global Action Plan kick-off Meeting - April 23-24, 2013 (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)


The World Birdstrike Association is the catalyst to harmonize and coordinate a Joint Global Action Plan, for which a kick-off meeting will take place in The Netherlands on 23-24 April, attended by the worldwide leading stakeholders.

The objectives of the meeting are to (1) agree on the initiative of a developing the Joint Global Action Plan, (2) establish a Steering Committee and associated Working Groups and (3) define and allocate adequate resources and support needed.



Australian Aviation Wildlife Hazard Group Meeting - Feb. 20, 2013 (Canberra, Australia)


The first meeting in 2013 for the AAWHG is being held in Canberra at 1330 hours on Wednesday 20 February. The meeting will be held in the Murrumbidgee Room, Building 2, Brindabella Park (about a 5 minute walk from the main terminal).


Bird / Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) Management Training Seminar - Feb. 27/28, 2013 (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

In an effort to provide the knowledge on the safest flying conditions possible and with a view to preventing the major bird and wildlife strikes, Arabian Reach in association with Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS), the training arm of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) will be organizing the Bird/Animal Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) management training seminar on the 27-28th of February 2013 at the Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS) premises.

The training seminar will involve the globally renowned BASH management training experts will share the knowledge and the effective methods to reduce the risk of bird/wildlife strikes in the aviation industry.


Bird Strike Committee USA Annual Conference - Aug. 12-15, 2013 (Milwaukee, WI, USA)

Bird Strike Committee USA, in partnership with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) will hold the 2013 meeting 12-15 August in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. General Mitchell International Airport will host the meeting. The theme for the 2013 meeting is: “Wildlife Hazards to Aviation: Have We Left the Holding Pattern?”

Deadline is 15 April 2013 for submission of papers and posters for the conference.

Details regarding hotel venue and exhibitors will be forthcoming.
